Ecuador Update

Hey, guys!
A lot of people are wondering what's going on with my plans to move to South America. Well, so am I. I don't have a lot of information right now but my hosts are unable to get the paperwork together for my visit. I am looking into other options and/or waiting for them to work things out. As of now, however, I am staying in Tennessee. I'll get everyone updated on any new developments that arise.
Thanks so much,
Roxie

Graduation

Well, in less than a month, I'll graduate and start packing up my apartment. I can't say that I'm sad about leaving but I can't say that I'll be happy to leave. I am excited about my new life and I'm hopeful for 2011. I can't decide if I should sell my books or keep them. Where will I store them? Should I get rid of all my furniture or store them? Am I coming back?
I HAVE NO IDEA.
I think the coolest part about trusting God with all of this is the uncertainity of what's next. I know, I can't believe it either. I am all about schedules and itineraries... but... I guess God is changing me. It's amazing how He equips you with the skills you need when you need them. Pray for me. I am going to be a long way from home without anyone I know. God is bigger than me and he's bigger than my problems. This life isn't about me. It never was. I only hope that I can be the light that God needs me to be. (And that my Spanish will be good enough to keep me alive!)
Adios!

The Countdown Begins

I can't believe that it's really happening. In less than four months, I am moving to South America. Tonight, I mailed out my first set of letters to friends and family stating where I am going and what I will be doing. My dreams are now becoming reality. Everything I do in the next three months will revolve around my future- a future far from home. There is only one thing I dread- packing!
